Mary H. Ferreira- I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor who joined GBCC in December 2007. I believe in a safe environment and the therapeutic relationship. I feel your story and life concerns and issues are important. My hope is that you will be able to explore life issues, identify goals, and discover tools and techniques to help you continue your story in the manner that you hope for. My areas of specialization include depression, anxiety disorders, grief/loss, anger/behavior issues, and attention issues.
I earned my Masters degree in Clinical Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2002. Prior to that, I worked for various school systems, first as a special education teacher and then as a clinician. I am very familiar with the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) process and other educational procedures. Altogether, I have over 20 years of experience working with families, children, and adolescents in several different settings. Recently, I began working with women.
