Leslie Stanbury earned her Bachelor Degree from University College University of Maryland and completed her Masters Degree at Johns Hopkins University. She gained extensive experience in the area of substance abuse and addictions while working in an outpatient public heath clinic. She has also worked with individuals suffering from depression and anxiety as well as couples addressing relationship difficulties.
I believe the relationship between the patient and counselor is an important element in the therapeutic alliance. Participation in therapy requires courage and demands a safe environment within which to address uncomfortable issues.
