Tracy Jordan - I believe that everyone – children and adults – have strengths that can support and guide them through hard times. However, during especially difficult experiences or crises, we often forget our strengths. When the challenges in our life become overwhelming and feel unmanageable, I think it is important to have someone to confide in, and often that person can be a psychotherapist. Together we can identify goals that will lead you toward healthier ways of coping. Coping skills may focus on a variety of areas, such as managing depression, anxiety, anger, and behavior in children. Hopefully after learning and practicing more positive and constructive coping skills, you will find yourself with a greater sense of emotional satisfaction in life.
