Dr. Teresa M. Hunt is a licensed psychologist with over twenty four years of clinical experience working with a wide range of clients in hospital, community mental health, clinic and private practice settings. She has recently joined GBCC and also maintains a private practice in Annapolis. Her clinical training was in the Columbia, Harvard, and University of Michigan Hospital Systems. She has extensive background in developmental psychology, psychoanalysis and Imago Relationship Therapy. Dr. Hunt is licensed in Maryland and Michigan, and is credentialed as a health service provider in psychology by the Council of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. She is also a member of The Mid-Atlantic Association of Imago Therapists.
Dr. Hunt’s clinical work includes Individual Psychotherapy for adults and Imago relationship therapy for Individuals and Couples. Current clinical specialties include: Relationship issues of all types, Hypnotherapy, Auto-Immune and Chronic Illness Counseling, Catastrophic Loss and Grief/Bereavement, Anxiety, Depression, Women’s Issues, Work Problems, Divorce, Adult ADHD, and Work with the Military and Law Enforcement communities. Therapy modalities used include interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and skill-building approaches, short or longer term, depending on the unique needs of the individual. She also provides intensive psychotherapy for individuals with personality disorders, or chronic self-defeating patterns. Dr. Hunt leads weekly Imago Psychotherapy Groups for Singles and presents Imago Weekend Workshops for Individuals and Couples. “For every client I meet I hold the highest vision for their potential for transformation, to reclaim and recalibrate their lives.
